Saturday and Console hacking

The console hacking ended up being just myself, Luke and Gavin (I can’t thank Luke and Gavin enough).

But it’s ok, I have enough consoles for everyone.  The final count was 2 Atari 2600, 1 NES, 1 Sega Master System, 2 Super NES and a XBox 360.  We ended up testing everything, but will have to revisit most of them another day 🙂

Luke did a great job following Ben Heckendorn’s instructions for getting AV connections of an Atari 2600.  Unfortunately, they didn’t work and he had to put it all back together again.  Some different instructions worked for PAL (Ben’s design seemed to be NTSC related) and finally a bit of Luke’s know how got it working really well.

The laser cut key-rings are going to be give-a-ways for the upcoming Oz Comic Con.  It’s a single sheet of 1.5mm acrylic and took nearly 4 hours to cut.  There are just under 200 key-rings in these photos.
