General Theory and Practice

Electronics projects and articles - Articles and projects from EMC electronica. Electronics Theory Dot Com

Electronic theory - Java Applets that teach you electronic theory.

SparkFun's Electronics tutorials - Excellent starting point into electronics.

PCB design and manufacture - How to design and manufacture your own printed circuit board. Written by CCHS members.

Collins Lab. Practical electronics (soldering, breadboards, multimeters etc.)

Ladyada's Arduino Tutorial - Very good series of tutorials… about getting started with Arduino, starting from the very basics.

ChipDB - Database of IC pinouts.

SparkFun Tutorials - Many and varied, well worth a look.

Practical Arduino - Practical projects to build with the Arduino. Book written by Jon Oxer and Hugh Blemmings, 2009 - 9781430224778.

Raspberry Pi

Vocational Information Centre - Huge list of information about Machining and Metalworking. Has a good section on Safety. - Links to other sites.

Shapeways Tutorials - Covers interesting aspects of the design of objects for 3D printers. While really aimed at their own customers, much of the information is fairly generic.

Plastics: Materials and Processing - Covers plastics from the molecular level all the way up to the macro, details on processes for manufacture with plastics, including design. Book written by A. Brent Stong, 1996, 2000, 2006 - 0131145584

AVR fuse calculator - Calculates AVR fuse setups … very useful for getting it right.

Engineering Toolbox - Amazing resource of information for engineering calculations and decision making.

Wolfram|Alpha - Computational Knowledge Engine - Making the world's knowledge computable - Today's Wolfram|Alpha is the first step in an ambitious, long-term project to make all systematic knowledge immediately computable by anyone. You enter your question or calculation, and Wolfram|Alpha uses its built-in algorithms and growing collection of data to compute the answer. Based on a new kind of knowledge-based computing. [An amazing web application that is sure to replace the average advanced scientific pocket calculator]

Electronic Simulators

Falstad Electronic circuit simulator - Java Applet for simulating electronic circuits.

Fritzing - Application that enables you to graphically represent a breadboard (complete with Arduino) by dragging-and-dropping components. You can then get a schematic and circuit-board view. The circuit-board can be printed as a PDF and used to create a real circuit-board.

General and non-specific tutorials and information.

Church of Craft - Very broad appeal.

Falstad Maths/Physics Tutorials - Many Maths/Physics tutorials as Java Applets.

WikiHow - Broad range of tutorials.
