- The HackerSpace culture is one of collaboration, sharing knowledge and experiences. This means that projects will, as much as possible, tend to consist of open-source software and hardware. This maximizes the opportunities for all members to be able to contribute, discuss and learn from the design and implementation details.
In-progress projects
- Aiko – Ardunio modular software framework
- BeaglePedal – Beagleboard powered guitar digital effects pedal
- CNC milling machine – Building a CNC milling machine for the HackerSpace.
- Doodad – is primarily an exercise in learning to solder using Surface Mount Technology, although it also has much post-tutorial value.
- PCB design and manufacture – Equipment, tutorials and resources
- Pebble – An Arduino shield with LCD, ZigBee, sensors, relays and much more.
- Peer-to-Peer networks (P2P), smart phones, Bluetooth, NFC (hankdroid@gmail.com)
- Rocket avionics – Part of Lunar Numbat, which is part of White Label Space, which is a GLXP team …
- 3D Printer – Use our Makerbot 3D printer to build a shiny new RepRap Mendel 3D printer for the HackerSpace
- OpenLab – CCHS’s entry for the Element 14 Great Global Hacker Space Challenge as Challenge Down Under
