3D printing is amazing at creating details pieces, and the ability to finish a print with paint, waxes and surface detail can make your plastic peice look like it is made of completely different material.
Here is a 3D printing model of the medallion from the film “Raiders of the Lost Ark” finished to look like brass and weathered to put a few hundred years on the piece using paint and rub and buff metalic wax finish.
